What does the Float Plus warranty entail?

Float Plus warrants that its products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship when properly installed and used for a period of 2 years. This applies to belly boats and accessories, systems and remotes. The warranty for batteries is in accordance with national legislation.

 

What does ‘date of first purchase’ mean for the warranty?

The ‘date of first purchase’ means the date on which the product was purchased by the first consumer; or in the case of a purchase via the webshop, the date on which the product was delivered to the first consumer.

 

What does Float Plus do if my product is defective?

Float Plus will, at its sole discretion, accept defective products or parts returned during the warranty period/returned to Float Plus. Repair or replace with new or reconditioned parts or products, or an equivalent product. Such repairs or replacements are the customer’s sole remedy under this warranty.

Why should I register a product and buy from a local dealer?

Customers are advised to purchase products from local authorized Float Plus dealers – this ensures that customers receive products that suit their requirements. In addition, customers who experience a problem can receive fast local service and support from the authorized dealer (see store locator). Or contact Float Plus for more information.

Can I return my order if I don’t like the product?

Yes, you have the right to cancel your order up to 14 days after receipt without giving any reason. Provided the product is returned in new condition.

 

What is the period for returning a product?

After cancellation you have 14 days to return the product.

 

Will I be refunded all costs if I return my product?

Yes, you will be credited with the full order amount excluding shipping costs.

 

What are the costs for insured returns?

These costs depend on your location. Consult your carrier’s website for exact rates. These costs are for the buyer.

 

In what condition should the product be returned?

The product must be returned in its original condition and packaging with all accessories supplied.

 

How can I exercise my right of withdrawal?

You can contact service@floatplus.com to exercise your right of withdrawal.

 

What happens if the product is damaged upon return?

If the product is damaged more than necessary to try it, we can pass on this depreciation to you. So make sure that the product is handled carefully and is properly packaged when returned.

 

What if I have provided an incorrect delivery address?

Contact Float Plus as soon as possible. We will try to change the order for you.

How quickly will my order be delivered?

For orders placed on working days before 12:00 noon, we aim to ship your order the same day. Delivery may sometimes take longer, depending on the delivery service.

 

If an order is placed for which an invoice must be made, this must befirst must be satisfied before we ship it.

 

How are shipping costs calculated?

The shipping costs are automatically displayed at the bottom of your invoice when you enter your order.

Delivery is via DHL and delivery generally takes place within 2 working days between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM.

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the exact time of delivery.

How can I best clean and maintain my float tube?

To optimally clean and maintain your float tube, the following process is recommended:

 

To clean:Use a cloth with green soap and lukewarm water for general cleaning. Green soap is mild and safe for most materials from which float tubes are made. Be sure to gently clean all areas of the float tube, including hard-to-reach areas where dirt and sand can accumulate.

 

Stubborn stains:For stubborn stains or deposits you can use a specific boat cleaner that is suitable for the material of your float tube. Avoid using harsh cleaning agents such as bleach or ammonia as these can damage the material.

 

Rinse: Rinse the float tube thoroughly with clean water to remove all soap residue. It is important that no soap residue is left behind, as this can damage the material over time.

We also recommend rinsing everything with fresh water after sailing to prevent salt from affecting the boat or system. Make sure that no water can enter connectors.

 

Drugs:Allow the float tube to dry completely before storing it. This is crucial to prevent mold and mildew. If possible, let it dry in a well-ventilated area or outside, but again, avoid direct sunlight.

 

Check and repair:Check the float tube for any damage, such as cracks or leaks, and repair them if necessary. There are repair kits available that are specially designed for the type of material of your float tube.

 

Bulletin:Store the float tube in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and sharp objects. If possible, store the float tube lightly inflated to avoid folds or wrinkles that could damage the material.

 

Periodic maintenance: Perform this cleaning and maintenance routine regularly, especially after each use in salt water or contaminated environments. This helps extend the lifespan of your float tube.

It is important to store the battery in a dry and frost-free place.

 

How can I best clean and maintain my battery?

Keep connectors and cables clean and dry. Our advice is to clean once a month with contact spray.

 

Using the battery:

Important, do not sail and store the battery completely empty. If you do not use the battery for a longer period of time, charge the battery for +/- 2 hours every 2 months.

 

Which cable or connector do I need for external equipment?

PRO 2: No cables needed, everything is in the case.

Compact: If you do not choose a battery or want to use your own battery, we supply a cable for a third-party battery. If you order the 16.8V 31.2A or 12.6V 41.6A storm case, we will supply a cable. For the 16.8V 49.4A battery, you must order the connection cable Stormcase Lithium-ion battery 49.4Ah 16.8V.

The Twinforce has more thrust than the Pro 2 & Compact. The best option with currents and wind. Also with pelagic fishing you can change direction more quickly to stay above the fish. At speeds up to 3 km/h, the Twin Force is also more efficient than the Compact & Pro.

Which glue does Float Plus recommend?

The most commonly used PVC adhesives are: Adeco Adegrip and Saba 70T. The Saba is often used because it is a 1-component adhesive. Adeco is 2 components.
