Gerbing Heated Socks

The 12 volt electrically heated socks from Gerbing have been around for a long time. Almost from the beginning when Gerbing started with electrically heated clothing, electrically heated socks have been a standard product in the range. The socks have two heating elements, which heat the entire foot from top and bottom to the toes. This is important, because if the foot is only heated locally by a small heating element, chilblains may develop. Chilblains occur because a small heating point at the bottom of the toes causes a flow of blood to this heating point. To combat this, the 12 volt electrically heated socks from Gerbing are heated all around.
The electrically heated socks are a high model, so that the plug that comes out of the top of the sock comes out above the (riding) boot of a motorcyclist or horse groomer. If a 12 volt DC power point (vehicle battery) is not available, these socks can be connected to the B12V-5200 or B12V-8000 portable battery. You can then tie these batteries around your hips in the supplied fanny pack and connect them to the electrical socket using a normal Y-cable (the Junior Controller will not work).
